World Creole Music Festival
It is time for fun, party and a lot of music and entertainment. Yes! It is Dominica 13 annual World Creole Music Festival (WCMF), carded for the weekend from October 30 to November 1, 2009. During the festival, top Creole music bands from all over the world will descend on the tiny luscious island of Dominica as part of the islands independence celebrations.
The festival venue will be the Windsor Park stadium where patrons will hear a variety of music such as cadence-lypso, boyon, African and Carid drumming coming from a variety of countries. Performers will come from Martinique, Guadeloupe, Jamaica, Paris, Chicago, and Miami. The line-up includes: Swinging Stars, Morgan Heritage, Allan Cave backed by Zin, Windward Caribbean Kulture, WCK and Maxi Priest among others.The island should not be mistaken for the Dominica Republic which shares the island with Haiti.
